*Gulp* Well this is it...
A recent spoiler for the new Ninja Turtles movie has slipped out via a costume company that will be selling the movie costumes. Here it is folks the new look of the turtles! Now granted this is a costume for kids and not everything can be 100% but...look at it. I don't see good things.
Lets take a look at what this sneak peek shows us:

- They have masks!
- Lots of tape on the limbs (which is ok)
- Sneakers?
- Loin cloth or wrapped sweatshirt (hey 1993)
- Sunglasses (they live in a sewer right?)
- Pendant necklace
- Are those tattoos on the arm?
- Biker pants? Spandex? Wha?
I fear some longtime fans worst nightmares are hiding in that single image. These turtles are looking more and more like Bayed-out versions of The Next Mutation TMNT more than anything else. I mean come on, they are wearing pants of some sort??
What do you think? Should we be afraid?

ReplyDeleteNot too pleased with this, but since it's just a Halloween costume, I could save thoughts on that for later...
Looks like the nose is a bit more pronounced as well. Makes total sense!
ReplyDeleteNo. I knew it was not going to be good but I didn't think we would get "bro" versions of the turtles. Now that I am really thinking about Transformers though it does make sense.
ReplyDeleteI would expect a Turtles skin to be rather tough and textured, would have to tattoo them with one heck of a needle.
