Geeks for Tots 2012

So there is this thing called Geeks for Tots I stumbled upon while over at PoeGhostal.com. Basically it is a way to get people or the sub culture of people, geeks, to donate to Toys for Tots for the holidays to make sure every good girl and boy gets something for the holidays, there is also some incentive to do so (read:prizes). Snap some pics of your donations and send to their Facebook and/or Twitter to be entered to win.

Every kid deserves a present and in the last few years I have personally made it a goal to donate what I could to Toys for Tots or the equivalent which is Toys for Kids for my area. Christmas or whatever holiday you celebrate is a special time and made more special by receiving something, even the smallest of things can make a difference. I know I was lucky as a child and have great Christmas memories because of it and want to do my part to spread that joy to less fortunate kids. It is doing good and it feels good.

So all my super cool geek blogging or geek minded visitors and friends will you take part and give something to make a kids holiday totally rad? This year I think I have my sights set on donating the entire Nick TMNT figure line (wave 1 and if I can FIND IT wave 1.5). A Donatello under the tree sure made my Christmas back in the day, hopefully I can give that same thing.
