October Loot Crate Unboxing

Another month, another Loot Crate package arrives in the mail. What wonders of nerd stuffs could be in this months crate you ask? Read on!

This months crate included:

- My OFFICIAL Loot Crate member card
- A Diablo 3 tee
- Zombie Jerky
- Zombie Pea Brains
- Energy Love Potion
- Zombie Hunter Response Team dog tag
- 2 Zombie related buttons
- Plastic vampire teeth

There ya have it. Now this is my second crate I have received and I must say the 8-bit loot was a bit more fun than this months. Everyone loves zombies but I wasn't really feeling the goodies included this month.

Something worth noting about Loot Crate is that regardless of plan it is recurring. So until you send them an email telling them to cancel you will continue receiving packages. I just found it rather odd to have a subscription model and no actual log-in page on the website to cancel. Just seemed a bit off to me and almost a little deceiving unless you pay close attention. I thought I was in for a single month but reading the fine print I realized that I needed to contact to cancel.

Update: The Zombie Jerky tastes like....zombie, unfortunately.

  2. Sure are. I grabbed a handful not knowing entirely what they were and ate them, whoa.

  3. Yeah, I just opened mine last night. I've never understood America's love affair with zombies, so this month's box was pretty disappointing except for the membership card. Thanks for pointing out the need to cancel. I didn't realize that, and I only have one more month on my subscription. Right now, I'm 0-2, so next month is gonna have to be AMAZING. Also, in case you never saw it, I wrote about my September unboxing here: http://www.williambrucewest.com/2012/10/17/loot-crate-its-a-box-full-o-stuff/

  4. I hear ya. I had some hope for October it being the month of Halloween and all but was let down. I also felt like the subscription policy Loot Crate is using is not very good, I shouldn't have to email to cancel. Reminds me of those old CD clubs you got in the mail back in the 90's.

  5. I've been eagerly awaiting your November unboxing! I have already cancelled my subscription. Once November arrived, I simply realized the sub isn't for me. I just don't feel I'm getting my money's worth.

  6. I did the same as you and canceled in October. I wasn't thrilled with the two months I did subscribe and didn't feel it was worth it any longer.
